Explore parts of the plants and their pollinators as you learn about the life cycle of plants. Let’s discover the many ways we use plants and appreciate the importance of their pollinators.

ARTHROPOD ZOO

Get ready for a buzzin' good time as we explore the amazing world of bugs in our Arthropod Zoo Program. Kids will learn all about bug parts, from shiny exoskeletons to wiggly antennae, and discover the important jobs these critters have in our world. Our goal is to make bugs cool and help everyone feel comfy around these awesome little friends! Let's have a buggy blast together! This is a great program for us to bring to your classroom!

TRACKING COLORADO’S WILDLIFE

Track Colorado’s amazing animals! Learn to identify signs that tell the story of the animals that share our woods, streams, and meadows. Investigate the pelts, skulls, and tracks of animals such as bears, elks, and beavers.

SNOWSCHOOL ON SNOWSHOES

Climate scientists join us to teach about snowpack, study snow science, winter ecology and our local watershed. By utilizing state of the art snow science equipment, we will gain knowledge to help us to protect these beautiful mountains. By investigating animal tracks, we learn the stories of animals that live in a winter montane ecosystem.

Wild Bear Nature Center partners with Winter Wildlands Alliance to deliver SnowSchool—a winter ecology field trip on snowshoes! SnowSchool is offered in Boulder and Gilpin counties.
