Join Wild Bear Nature Center in the cool mountain air this summer!

Hike the mountain forests, play in the woods with friends, discover the animals, fungi and plants mountain, create earth-friendly art to take home and more!

$85/day. Generous scholarships available. Wild Bear is a CCCAP (state childcare assistance) provider.

MONDAYS

HIKING CLUB

We’ll hike the trails to discover our unique mountain ecosystems and the tools we need to navigate them. Join us to explore the magnificent Rocky Mountains! Discover local flora, fauna, and the views of the high peaks of the Rocky Mountains.

TUESDAYS

FLY FISHING

Cast your line, practice the strategies for ecologically sound fly fishing. Learn from the experts to understand the natives and non-natives and what they are feeding on. Try to replicate the invertebrates by choosing the right flies! Fly fishing equipment and professional guide included.

WEDNESDAYS

MOUNTAIN ARTS

Connect with Nature and your inner creativity as we explore beautiful local natural areas through the lens of the artist! Paint, sculpt, sing, dance, build, shoot photos and more. Learn from experienced artists in the outdoors and hone your craft!

THURSDAYS

WILD SURVIVAL

Join the team and let’s head out into the woods, trails, and beyond to engage in survival and naturalist skills: shelter building, cordage, tracking, plant and animal identification, nature journaling, and so more! Enjoy wild crafting with local plants foraged from the land along with friends new and old.

FRIDAYS (AGES 9-12)

TEAM EARTH FRIDAYS

We’re all a part of Team Earth! Join us for fun team building activities and stewardship projects. Explore local trails, learn awesome skills that protect our planet, play fun games with friends, and expect some amazing guests to join you along the way!
