Come help Wild Bear Nature Center build a fresh new loop trail at the new campus on CR 128W & HWY 72.
Long-time former Nedhead and professional trailbuilder, Tony Boone will be sharing his passion for digging in the dirt with other volunteers (some past Trail Mix members hopefully) both Saturdays in a team effort to sculpt approximately 4000 LF of sustainable, natural surface singletrack for curious bears of all sizes, shapes and colors. The new trail will wind from the trailhead through the forest to a scenic overlook of the Continental Divide and back to new building site.
Construction is on gently sloping terrain, mostly shaded and appropriate for most ages. Children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult and all participants must sign a waiver to participate please sign up at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can plan for food/drink. Closed toe shoes and gloves are mandatory, long sleeve pants and shirts recommended. Bring your own water and rain gear, and a stiff rake, hoe or shovel if you want. Tools will be provided, however a bit limited if we have 15 or more folks.
Meet at the Wild Bear entry road directly across from the Caribou Room and please park along the roadway out of harms way. Cant wait to see you folks!
