- Week 1: Get to know your clay: In this session, we will be learning the basics of molding clay and creating disc shaped earth ornaments.
- Week 2: We’ll mold out hearts and then learn a carving technique called “sgraffito” to put your own designs and drawings into the clay (or simply choose a beautiful color).
- Week 3: Glazes: This week we’ll add flares of color to our work, learning all about how glazes seal the clay when fired. (Leah will be like a magical elf firing the pieces in her kiln before bringing them back finished!)
- Week 4: Social: We will celebrate each other’s finished pieces and hear about each artist’s experience. There will be the option to upcycle gift wrap your work for upcoming Mother’s Day!
Please make sure to wear your mask and clothes that can get dirty! We will have limited space to ensure everyone’s safety with Covid.
