Many people feel a real sense of helplessness in the fight against climate change. Taking action can help us break out of despair, and it inspires others to do the same. Art provides a vehicle to communicate the urgency of the climate crisis, and it allows us to process our emotions in an externalized way. In this art class, facilitated by Zoe Lewis, LCSW, you will have the opportunity to meet with like-minded people and create a piece of art which reflects your feelings about our planet, your hopes for the future, and more. Materials provided will include air-dry clay, paints, paintbrushes, and canvas. Best suited for ages 16+

Zoe is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. She incorporates the wilderness, movement, and art into her therapy sessions, using a mindfulness based approach. She owns a  private practice in Nederland called “Sole Talk Therapy.”
