Shuttle Information

MORNING DROP-OFF

Please drop your child off at the MADE parking lot (200 Pearl St, Boulder, CO 80302) at 8:00 AM.

AFTERNOON PICK-UP

Please pick up your child at the Canyon Blvd & 6th St Bus Stop (northwest corner of Evert Pierson Kids’ Fishing Pond parking lot) at 4:00 PM.

Camp Sessions

Forest Fridays

**Update 7/1: Forest Fridays are FULL**

Join Wild Bear for fun in the forest every Friday for ten weeks during the summer! This program will talk 5-8 year olds out into local trails to explore the wildlife, sunshine, and more. Children will connect to nature through fun crafts, games, and hikes. Make lasting friendships and spend the summer in the fresh air of the Rockies.
Our Forest Friday instructor is Debora Martin aka Sleeper Bear who has taught for Wild Bear for years and has over 25 years of experience leading groups of kids in the outdoors and creative endeavours.

$70/day. Generous scholarships and multiple children discounts available. Wild Bear is a CCAP (state child care assistance) provider.

Bear Cubs: Ages 3-5 with a Grown up!

Every Wednesday, 10:30a-noon   $20 per child and grown up pair (Must represent only one household per registration).

Bear Cubs is a grown/child workshop held at Mud Lake Open Space from 10:30-noon on Wednesdays.  Meet at the Mud Lake parking lot and hike with us to the lake! Venture on trails, sing with us and discover the many plants and animals who live in and around Mud Lake.  Pre-registration is required.

2021 Camp Format

Choose any combo of Monday/Tuesday, Wednesday/Thursday, or Monday-Thursday for each two week session or all summer long.  8:00am-4pm. Two week sessions start June 7th and go through August 12th.

COVID-19 Guidelines

All parents will receive a copy of our Program Contract which includes these guidelines. Parents will read, complete, and sign this COVID safety agreement.

Scholarship Application

Please fill out the scholarship application and return it to Wild Bear for review. You may save a copy, fill it out digitally, and email it to registrar@wildbear.org, or you may print a copy and return it in person to Wild Bear Nature Center (70 Lakeview Drive, Nederland, CO 80466)

Transportation

For 2021 we will be offering our popular shuttle service from Boulder for a $10 additional fee per day! Please add this on at registration if you are interested.

Bear Cubs (ages 3-5) will be based out of Mud Lake. Please meet us at the Mud Lake parking lot.

NederRangers (ages 5-6) will be based out of Wild Bear Nature Center.  Campers will be outside most of the day, but will be able to access the bathrooms and spaces within the nature center, as needed.

Wild Naturalists (ages 7-8) please drop-off and pick-up your camper at Wild Bear Nature Center.

Wild Adventurers (ages 9-12) please drop-off and pick-up your camper at Wild Bear Nature Center.

$70/day. Generous scholarships and multiple children discounts available. Wild Bear is a CCAP (state child care assistance) provider.

Programs will continue to run in the case of inclement weather! Wild Bear Nature Center provides  large spaces with dedicated bathrooms to hold programs indoors when needed.  Masks are worn at all times when inside, and the separate rooms for each age group provide enough space for physical distancing.  Crafts, stories, games and science will all be integrated into indoor activities when weather does not permit outdoor activity.
