MAKING A NATURE CENTER

Nature Center Planning

In April, Wild Bear Nature Center became owners of a new 5 acres as another major milestone toward realizing vision of the future community nature center!

In 2000, Wild Bear initiated 134 volunteers to clean up 30 TONS of trash from the 234 acres of Mud Lake Open Space and this land is now one of the healthiest wetland habitats in Boulder County.

This newly acquired property needs the same LOVE in preparation for building the nature center. There is trash and deadwood strewn throughout. Let’s spruce it up. Thank you to BBB Seed who has donated Rocky Mountain Wildflower seed for us to plant as well!

Let’s work together to show the land some love, improve the land and celebrate our community. Join us on the ground floor of creating YOUR community nature center.

When: July 20th 9am-4pm come any time!
Where: CR 128 (School Road) Across from
The Caribou Room
What: Let’s work together to heal this beautiful land, collecting trash, clearing dead wood, general clean up. Let’s give it some love!

Lunch will be provided ZERO WASTE, bring your own utensils/cup, blanket or chair!  Please bring rake, shovel, saw & work gloves.  If you have a musical instrument, please bring it and play it!

Please email us to let us know you will be coming at community@wildbear.org
