CHECK OUT THE DAILY THEMES FOR THE WILD ADVENTURERS:

Mondays

HIKING CLUB – We’ll hike the trails, discover our unique ecosystem and the tools we need to navigate it.  Join us to explore the magnificent Rocky Mountains.  Discover local flora, fauna and views of the high peaks of the Rocky Mountains.  Sign up for one or more days!

Trails may include and aren’t limited to: Gross Reservoir, Lost Lakes,Ouzel Falls, Sourdough, Como Creek, Hessie, Caribou, Peaceful Valley, Arapahoe Pass, Arapahoe Glacier, Niwot Ridge, and East Portal.

Tuesdays

FLY FISHING CAMP – Cast your line, practice the strategies for ecologically sound fly fishing. Learn from the experts to understand the natives and non-natives and what they are feeding on, and try to replicate invertebrates in the form of fly tying.  Fly fishing equipment and professional guide included.

We’ll supplement fishing with species identification of local flora and fauna, collect community science data for important projects, and have guests like Pam Sherman come teach about ecosystem engineers like beavers who facilitate healthy ecosystems!

Wednesdays

PEAK ARTISTS – Connect with Nature and your inner creativity as we explore beautiful local lakes through the lens of the artist! Paint, sculpt, sing, dance, build, shoot photos and more. Learn from experienced artists in the outdoors and hone your craft!

Thursdays

WILD ADVENTURES – What better way to explore the great outdoors than to learn important tricks to surviving in the wilderness! We will explore how plants, other animals, indigenous peoples and all humans have adapted to survive in the wild throughout history to modern day techniques.
