Wild Bear Nature Center is an award winning nonprofit organization whose mission is to connect children, adults and families to the outdoors. As the only all ages non-profit nature center in the region open every day throughout the year, Wild Bear is proud to annually connect thousands of people to nature. Located in the mountain town of Nederland, just off the Peak to Peak highway, our Center and gift shop attracts visitors from across the nation and around the world.
Wild Bear offers opportunities for your company to partner with our mission and consider a sponsorship opportunity. Each year Wild Bear organizes two captivating events which draw thousands of Front Range participants:
1. Wild Earth Day is Boulder County’s largest Earth Day event and is held at the end of April every year. Presented annually since 2001, Wild Earth Day is a free action-packed day of entertainment and education about this magnificent planet earth. Thousands of visitors of all ages and from throughout the region participate in hands-on experiential activities at booths provided by regional masters in the field of environmental education. Originally in collaboration with the National Center for Atmospheric Research, this event draws thousands of people to celebrate and learn about our earth.
2. The Enchanted Forest is held in the fall in Nederland. Each year The Enchanted Forest draws families from throughout the Front Range. The event includes live actors dressed as animals. Participants encounter the animals as they tour the forest. Each animal explains their role in the ecosystem and gives the child an eco-friendly prize and passport stamp. The tour is followed by a barbecue, educational games, crafts and live music. This is a great opportunity to enjoy nature together while learning about local wildlife and how we can co-exist. This is a wonderfully positive opportunity for families to positively celebrate our place in the natural world.
As children, many of us spent hours exploring the outdoors. Whether it was the critters found in the deep tree well surrounding the oak tree in the backyard, free reign along a mountain stream, or an empty lot near our homes, we were encouraged to head outside. Today, in our technology focused world, the opportunity to explore in the wild is becoming less and less frequent for children and families. We need your support to provide safe, rewarding and educational outdoor experiences for everyone.
Our sponsorship package includes opportunities to have your logo featured in our Center, on our website, on banners, and in our program catalog which is distributed throughout Boulder County. Additionally, we will honor your generosity in our social media platforms and all press releases. Most importantly, it helps support our educational programs and outreach. An outline of our sponsorship levels is enclosed. This is a great opportunity for your company to receive exposure and help to support a worthy local non-profit. Wild Bear Nature Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization and all donations are tax-deductible. We appreciate your consideration and look forward to hearing from you soon.
