Trail Blazers I and II
Grab your daypacks, hiking shoes and a sense of adventure! We’re heading to the hills for a 3-day hiking extravaganza! Beginner thru advanced hikers welcome. Please sign up accordingly: *Beginner hiker: 1-2 miles on easy- moderate terrain. *Advanced hiker: 3-5 miles on moderate-strenuous terrain.
For all ages June 30, July 1 & 2 - MTW, 1 week program

Programs for 5-6 year olds
NederBugs!
Calling all NederBugs! This month Wild Bear will be exploring geology, mining, insects, water, pottery, soil, and worms. We'll be getting a little dirty, creating and constructing, and most importantly...having fun! July 7-18: GoldDiggers! (MWF)and Aquamania! (T/Th);July 21-August 1: Bug World (MWF) and Clay Works! (T/Th) You may sign your child up for MWF and/or T/Th. 2 day/$95, 3 day/$140

Rock n' Roll!
Hello Rock-Heads...join us on this Rocky Mountain geological adventure! Interact with Colorado's past fortune-filled mining history. Journey into the depths of a dark and damp mine! July 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18 - MWF, 2 week program $270
Rain Dancers
Water water, we need water! Join us on this wet adventure to explore water! From the melting snow to the rivers, lakes, pond, and streams....where does it all go and why is it so precious? Splish Splash! July 8, 10, 15, 17 - T/Th, 2 week program $180
Insect Detectives
YOUNG ENTOMOLOGISTS, join us for an exciting adventure to the fascinating world of insects! From butterflies to beetles, we can't survive without them! Sweep with nets and set traps to find these amazing animals! July 21, 23, 25, 28, 30, August 1 - MWF, 2 week program $270
Earth Clay
Come & get your hands dirty! From the earth to the fire....interact with clay to learn about Earth-enhanced Puebloan pottery. Learn ancient techniques by modeling the works of Maria Martinez of San Ildefonso. Do a pit fire! July 22, 24, 29, 31 - T/Th, 2 week program $180 plus $10 material fee

Programs for 7-10 year olds
Bugs in My Food!
Discover the world of bacteria and other microbes! Become a microbiologist and investigate the lives of these almost invisible organisms. We'll learn how to make pizza, ginger ale and other tasty treats using real live organisms! July 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18 - MWF, 2 week program $270
Animal Trackers
Learn how to identify the footprints & signs of the local animals around you & the stories they tell. Create a field guide of your own to take with you on your own animal tracking adventures to come! July 8, 10, 15, 17 - T/Th, 2 week program $180
Blaze Rangers
Why so many fires? Journey along hot trails, visit past burn sites and learn how fire can be good. Learn how to protect our forests and homes from going up in flames from local firefighters! Become a Blaze Ranger!! July 21, 23, 25, 28, 30, August 1 - MWF, 2 week program $270
Earth Sculptures
Using earth-borne sources such as leaves, bark, rock, clay, stones, plants & twigs, creatively express yourself through the art of sculpture. Learn how to work instinctively with nature to form an ever-growing understanding of the land. July 22, 24, 29, 31 - T/Th, 2 week program $180

Flyfishing II
Sharpen your skills and practice the mysterious craft flyfishing, the sport that has engaged millions in a life- long passion for the outdoors and understanding the cycles of nature. Barbless hooks and catch and release! July 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18 - MWF, 2 week program $270 plus $10 material fee
Back Country Navigators
Gain the skills and confidence it takes to navigate through the wilderness. Learn how to use a map and compass in order to travel off trail; while leaving little impact on the Earth. Have fun navigating our course in the woods!

Wild Earth Artists
Express the beauty of nature through colorful creations. Discover your artistic talents as we paint, sketch, mold and dye using gifts from the Earth. July 21, 23, 25, 28, 30, August 1 - MWF, 2 week program $270
Primitive Survivors I
Discover the deep connection and respect our ancestors had with the Earth. Build shelters, learn about cordage, and utilize primitive tools to acquire skills needed to become one with your surroundings. July 22, 24, 29, 31 - T/Th, 2 week program $180

Programs for 12-14 year olds
Photography Workshop!
Join our explorations into the science and art of field photography! Expand your observation skills, critique picture composition and photograph everything from scenic landscapes to wildlife and waterfalls. Afterwards develop your negatives and enlarge your prints in the darkroom! Bring your 35mm manual camera and 2 rolls of T-max 200 speed black and white film. Telephoto and macro lens recommended. Monday , July 14 and Wednesday , July 16 $85 plus $15 material fee
Backcountry Campout!
Join us for an exciting 3 day/2 night camping adventure in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Engulf yourself in the tranquility of nature, while meeting new people and learning backcountry skills. Learn how to use a map and compass, cook outdoors, hang bear bags, and build "Leave No Trace" fires (if permitted) with an emphasis on primitive living skills such as identifying edible and medicinal plants, shelter building and making cordage from plants. There will be a two day preliminary workshop designed to prepare for this backcountry trip, including selecting the site and trails, designing the menus, gear selection,and how to pack for this three day and two night expedition! Thursday, July 24 & Friday, 25 Prep Workshop at Wild Bear 10am-2pm Monday, July 28- Wednesday, July 30 Campout
Need to provide own personal gear (sleeping bag, tent, etc) Group gear (stove, cooking supplies, etc) and food provided. Cost:$350
