the Nederland Community Center located at 8,233 feet in the beautiful
mountain village of Nederland, Colorado
What:
The natural world is in a constant state of chaos.
Natural forces, pulling and pushing, cause the earth to remain
in balance. Chaos on the Mountain, Enviro Film Series explores
our human place in the natural world, our interactions with, our
love affair with, and our desire to control natural chaos. All
too often, in our attempt to control nature, we send the balanced
earth into chaos. We have a place in this beautiful, unpredictable,
powerful world. We just don’t always know what it is.
Chaos
on the Mountain, Enviro Film Series will screen approximately
10 hours of film ranging from 3-45 minutes in length. People from
all over the region will find themselves laughing, crying, squirming
and thinking about our place on this planet, our role in the natural
world. Explore with us the concepts of order and disorder; of
planetary and psychological change; of chaos, symmetry, beauty,
acceptance and renewal.
